Terms of Service
Effective August 11, 2026 · Clarity IAQ & Environmental Consulting, LLC
These terms keep expectations honest in both directions: what an independent inspection can tell you, what it cannot, and how we work with you. They apply to this website and to our services alongside your written estimate and inspection agreement.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Clarity IAQ & Environmental Consulting, LLC ("we", "us") provides indoor environmental inspection and testing services, including visual assessment, environmental readings, and the collection of air, surface, material and water samples for laboratory analysis. These terms govern your use of this website and, together with any written inspection agreement and estimate you receive, our services. If a signed inspection agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement controls.
2. Inspection only, no remediation
We inspect, test and report. We do not perform remediation, mold removal, abatement or repair work, and we do not sell products to address the conditions we find. This independence is deliberate: the company that tests your building should not be the company quoting the cleanup.
3. What an inspection is, and what it is not
An inspection reflects the conditions observed and sampled at the locations inspected, on the date and time of the visit. Buildings change: moisture moves, seasons change airflow, and conditions can develop after we leave. A report is a snapshot in time, not a guarantee about past or future conditions.
An inspection is limited to reasonably accessible areas. We do not open walls, dismantle systems or perform destructive testing unless specifically agreed in writing.
Our reports are environmental assessments. They are not medical advice, and they are not a warranty of habitability, safety or fitness for any purpose. Health questions belong with a qualified medical professional.
4. Laboratory analysis
Samples are analyzed by independent, third-party laboratories. Laboratory results are reproduced in your report as received. Lab turnaround times are estimates and outside our control; we deliver the report after results arrive and have been reviewed.
5. Reports are reviewed by your inspector
Every report is prepared, reviewed and approved by your inspector before delivery, whatever tools assist in drafting it. Nothing reaches your report without the inspector standing behind it.
6. Your report and how it may be used
Your report is prepared for you, for the property inspected. You may share it with anyone you choose, including through the secure view link we provide; anyone with that link can view the report, so treat the link like the document itself. The report may not be resold or presented as an assessment of any other property, date or scope.
7. Scheduling, access and client responsibilities
Booking requests are confirmed personally; a request is not a confirmed appointment until we confirm it. You agree to provide safe access to the property and to disclose known conditions relevant to the inspection (prior water events, prior testing, recent cleaning or painting of suspect areas), since these materially affect what sampling can show.
8. Estimates and payment
Scope and cost depend on the building and the question, so pricing is provided by written estimate rather than a price list. The estimate you approve, and any signed agreement, state the fees and payment terms for your job. Where deposits apply, they are stated on the estimate. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card details.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from an inspection or report is limited to the fees you paid for that inspection. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including costs of remediation, relocation, lost value or lost income. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. The software behind this site
This website, the booking and estimate system, the field capture and reporting tools, the client portal and the mobile application are software owned and operated by Cloud Mountain Graphics Ltd., and are licensed to Clarity IAQ & Environmental Consulting, LLC for use in its business.
